Full course description
The Certificate in Social Justice Leadership modules includes a general introduction which explores structural inequities at nonprofits, how organizations can advocate for higher levels of societal equity, and attempts to deepen participants' awareness of biased systems within nonprofit organizations. Other topics throughout the program include cultural competency; leading diversity, equity, and inclusion; managing workplace diversity; advocacy and public policy. The five modules move participants from a theory-based understanding of social justice principles to practical application at the individual/group level, community level, and organizational level.
The Certificate in Social Justice Leadership is earned by completing all five online learning modules within the 10 weeks of the program which runs from February 8, 2023 to April 24, 2023. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available.
